12 Finally - Wendy Mass (Novel Reflection)

Rory Swenson has been waiting patiently for her long long 11 years to do whatever she wants on her wishlist. Finally, it was her 12th birthday. Everything she has wanted has come true:

1. Get a cell phone
2. Stay home alone
3. Get her own screen name so she can IM
4. Shave my legs

...

Firstly, with her phone, something happened that she didn't like! There was a phone number kept calling her ordering pizza! It was weird but she was still happy to get a phone. Later on, she got to stay at home alone because she's independent and responsible enough to do that stuff. But it didn't go well actually, she heard some kind of strange sounds and she really did think it was a thief (I'd never stay home alone...). After that day, she didn't even want to think of staying home alone. Things aren't going right on her wishlist. People misunderstand that she is a boy because Rory can use for both gender. When she shaved her leg... It was terrible! She didn't read the instruction well so her skin... was like felling off her leg! She terrified by that! But at the end she was happy because all of those on her wishlist lead her to a whole different relationship, more friends, more freedom... Mom trusted her, she got new friends and that is what a teenager really needs.

I did enjoy this book so I'd rate it 5 out of 5. You might find it interesting too. Go to the library and check it out for the break.
